Farewell and Parent Meetings for the 16th Cohort of Students under Sanda-Rider Sino-USA Cooperative Program

Nine Sanda students from the Class 2017 majoring in International Economy and Trade (Sino-Us Cooperative Program) will go to USA New Jersey in January 2020 as the 16th cohort of students to study at Rider University. The International Exchange & Cooperation Office of Sanda University held a farewell meeting as well as a parent meeting for the 16th Cohort of Sanda students and their parents on December 26, 2019, aiming at providing better answers to the related questions concerning overseas studies at Rider University that could possibly be asked by the students and their parents and encouraging the students to successfully complete their studies abroad.

Ms. Li Li, Assistant to the President and Director of International Exchange & Cooperation Office of Sanda expressed, at the meeting, her sincere hope that the students could study hard, well complete their studies with flying colors and help one another to adapt themselves to the living conditions and cultural environments in a foreign country.  She, at the same time, stressed that students must pay attention to their own safety, and keep in touch with Sanda faculty members. Professor Jianguo Wu, Executive Deputy Dean of Shengxiang School of Business also expressed his blessing and hope to the students going to study abroad. Ms. Haiying Meng, Deputy Head of Department of International Trade, gave the students a detailed account of the courses offered by Rider and answered the relevant questions raised by the students. Ms. Zining Liu, Counselor of the Department of International Trade, told the students not to forget their original ideal in mind, remember their mission and study abroad for the country.

Ms. Li Li presided over the parent meeting, introducing the basic situation of students' study and living conditions at Rider University, the issues that the students should pay attention to, and providing answers to the questions raised by the parents on-site. Ms. Wei Ju, the Person in Charge of the Sanda-Rider Cooperative Program, explained in detail the matters concerning student pay for tuition and fees, international travel, U.S. border entry procedures, and others.
