The Annual Meeting of Shanghai European and American Alumni Association · Shanghai Overseas Returned Scholars AssociationShanghai Sanda University Branch (Hereinafter referred to as SORSA Sanda Branch) was held on December 25, 2019, as scheduled, brimming with thick festive atmosphere, aiming at to summarizing the work of the branch association for Year 2019 and making plans of activities for Year 2020, and, at the same time, strengthening the liaison or contacts among the members, enhancing the cohesion and friendship, and laying a solid foundation for the work in the years to come.


 At the meeting, Ms. Li Li, Secretary-General of SORSA Sanda Branch, announced the opening of the annual meeting and delivered the work summary of 2019 and the work plan for 2020. Mr. Jianfei Lu, Executive Vice President of SORSA, delivered a speech and presented to Prof. Xiaowei Shi, Vice President of SORSA Sanda Branch with the Best Academic Influence Award. Mr. Wei Chen, President of SORSA Sanda Branch, delivered a speech and presented the Bole Award to Prof. Lixin Chen, a senior member of SORSA Sanda Branch. Ms. Jia Wei, Director of Organization Department, Sanda University, presented the Culture Exchange Award to Prof. Hong Cheng and Ms. Xinyan You, senior members of SORSA Sanda Branch. Professor Xiaowei Shi, Vice President of SORSA Sanda Branch, addressed the meeting. Ms. Jue Wang, Deputy Secretary-General of SORSA Sanda Branch, presided over the game and raffle. Altogether there are 53 senior members of SORSA Sanda Branch participated in this Annual Meeting event and took a group photo commemorating the occasion afterward.


        In the new year, SORSA Sanda Branch will continue the centennial fine tradition of European and American Alumni Association and expand its efforts overseas striving to become a database for the institution and the country, a think tank providing useful advice and suggestions, a vital force in people’s foreign diplomacy and a bridge or link between the Chinese Communist Party and the students studying overseas. It also hopes that all the members of the association will put their heads together, work together, conscientiously implement all the assigned projects, provide communication channels and opportunities, and make new contributions to the institutional construction and development.
